A society for the advancement of HYDROLOGY

The British Hydrological Society (BHS) was formed in 1983
in response to a clear need for a new, broad-based national
society for the advancement of hydrology.
The Society caters for all those with an interest in the inter-disciplinary
subject of hydrology, and aims to promote interest and scholarship
in scientific and applied aspects of hydrology and to foster
the involvement of its members in national and international
activities.
What is hydrology?
BHS 2010 International Symposium
BHS is delighted to announce that abstract submission is now open for its Third International Symposium at the University of Newcastle, 19-23 July 2010.
Building on the success of previous International Symposia in Exeter and London, this symposium offers you the opportunity to present a paper to research and practising hydrologists from around the globe (and have it published in peer-reviewed proceedings), add your voice to international hydrological debate, meet hydrologists from a wide range of backgrounds and enjoy a social programme including field site visits, a cruise on the River Tyne and a Conference dinner.
A limited number of fellowships will be available to overseas delegates and young hydrologists. Priority will be given to authors of papers.
Register and submit your abstract here.
