The Pennines Hydrological Group

The Pennines Hydrological Group (PHG) is the regional section of the BHS for the North of England.

The group is run on behalf of its 360 members by an elected committee which includes representatives of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management and the Institution of Civil Engineers. The committee also includes a postgraduate student who represents the interests of postgraduate students in the region. The region is very keen to encourage postgraduates to participate in the regions activities, and students are invited to present their work at relevent technical meetings. This gives invaluable experience in an informal, friendly atmosphere.
