The Welsh Section
The BHS in Wales has now launched a Welsh Section to continue
the work of the Welsh Hydrological Group (WHG), which provided
hydrological meetings in Wales for many years under the auspices
of the Institution of Civil Engineers. The BHS Welsh Section
seeks to create a new impetus and continue the valuable work
of the former WHG.
The new Section is being led by Bob Vaughan (Chair) and Dr
Katie Fawcett (Hon. Secretary), both of the Environment Agency
Wales. Planning has begun to draft a meetings programme and
to form a committee.
BHS Members with correspondence addresses in Wales will be
identified to the new committee for mailing purposes, but
other members with interests in Wales may also wish to be
kept in touch so that they can receive information from the
new group. Suggestions of meeting topics and offers or suggestions
of people to serve on the new committee will be very welcome.
