Land Management and the protection of the water environment: understanding the impact of new legislation
10 - 13 September 2006
Durham

Preface

The theme of this meeting, held at Durham University, 10-13 September 2006, was Land Management and the Protection of the Water Environment: Understanding the Impact of New Legislation. The symposium aimed to improve our understanding of the implications of recent legislation for hydrological science, to disseminate where we are at in terms of our understanding of the impacts of land management upon the water environment, and to provide a focus for the kinds of hydrological questions that are going to dominate the next 20 years. .
