Annual Student Award

Submissions are now being accepted for the 2014 British Hydrological Society annual student award

The BHS Student Award is given to the dissertation from a final year undergraduate completing in 2014 on a hydrological subject. A £400 prize and trophy is available for the dissertation judged best, with runners-up receiving £200. The Society’s student award was launched in 2002 and excellent submissions have been submitted in previous years.

Submissions must be made by a student’s university department. Attention is drawn to the stipulation that only one outstanding undergraduate dissertation will be accepted from each department and that this dissertation must be commended by the student’s supervising lecturer. It is expected that only an independent research project of outstanding quality will be submitted. Further details of the Society's Student Award and rules can be found here:

The closing date for submissions is Friday 4th July 2014.

The winner will be announced in the Society’s newsletter Circulation in October/November.

Any queries concerning this award should be directed to the Society’s Secretary, Tim Fuller, in the first instance.
